Time With God – 8- Finale

Revised Edition The Finale

Welcome back to Time With God, Part Eight – The Finale. If you haven’t read this series yet, I encourage you to catch up here, here, here , here here, here and here. .. This journey is transformative, and starting from the beginning will help you engage fully with the message.

We live in a world governed by time, 60 minutes in an hour, 24 hours in a day, and so on. But how much of that time are we dedicating to God? While time is a gift, it’s easy to let distractions steal it away.

Do you eagerly anticipate your Time With God? Or does life get in the way? Spending Time With God, through prayer, worship, and Bible reading, should be our highest priority.

Are you still?

Are you taking time to truly connect with God? Or have you been distracted, missing out on the transformative power of being in His presence?

As we continue this series, I encourage you to reflect on your Time With God. Let’s prioritize it together. Don’t forget to subscribe so you don’t miss the next part of this life-changing journey.

Be Blessed and Be a Blessing..

When you start to build a relationship with God, it can be a life-changing experience. You will develop a powerful connection with Him, and He will be there for you in ways that you never thought possible. He will be your confidante, your advisor, your protector, and your friend. He will be there for you in times of joy and of sorrow, and He will guide you and provide for you in ways that you never imagined.

You will start to feel a warmth and a joy that you may never have felt before. You will have a sense of purpose and direction that you never had before. You will start to experience a spiritual level of love that you have never felt before. You will find strength and comfort in knowing that you are now walking with God.

It’s not about becoming a Christian; it’s about becoming the Son of God, about spending Time With Him. When you do this, your life will become so much better. You will be filled with love and peace, and your life will become richer and fuller. You will be fulfilling your true purpose and destiny.
God does not require our prayer, He desires it. He longs for us to come to Him in prayer and to enter into a relationship with Him. Prayer is a way for us to communicate with God, to share our joys and sorrows, our hopes and fears, and to express our love for Him. Our Heavenly Father loves us deeply and desires us to want Him, need Him, and desire Him. He longs for us to come to Him in prayer, and to develop a closer relationship with Him. By praying and talking to God, we can experience His presence and the peace and strength He provides. As we pray, we can trust that God hears us and will answer us in His own time and in His own way.
Let Him be your Father and let Him into your heart. He loves us and is there for us when we need Him.

Knowing that The Creator of Heaven and Earth, wants to have a relationship with you is a truly incredible thought. It is amazing to consider that the God of All, who made the entire universe, desires to hear about your day and have a relationship with you. The Lord of Lords loves you more than you could ever imagine and desires for you to love Him in return. The King of Kings desires to be your best friend and companion and offers you the assurance of His love and protection. No matter the situation, you can be sure that The Lord is with you and will never desert you. When you understand that The Lord wants to be your Best Friend, it is a truly comforting thought and a sign of His deep love.

Let us Pray...

Lord, I thank You for Your grace and mercy. Thank You for being here with me in this moment. Help me to remember that You are my refuge and my strength, my ever-present help in times of trouble.

Give me the courage to be bold in my faith and to share Your word with others. Guide my words to be encouraging and uplifting, and help me to have the strength to keep my faith strong, no matter what the world throws at me.

I can relate to Moses in this moment of fear and insecurity. I too can feel intimidated and overwhelmed by conversations and situations. I can relate to the desire to be eloquent and communicate effectively but feeling unable to do so. This struggle can be incredibly disheartening, making it difficult to believe in one’s own potential. Yet, in this moment of vulnerability, Moses still reached out to you God. No matter the circumstances, he still held onto faith and hope.

Exodus 4:10 – Berean Study Bible
“Please, Lord,” Moses replied, “I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since You have spoken to Your servant, for I am slow of speech and tongue.”

Lord, I am overwhelmed by Your grace and mercy, that You continue to use me in spite of my fears. I am constantly amazed that You are able to use me despite my insecurities and doubts. You teach me, mold me, love me, and guide me every single day. Even when I feel like I am not good enough to be Your servant, You show me that I am, and that I am capable of so much more than I ever thought possible. I am eternally thankful for Your ongoing faithfulness and love, and for the way that You continue to use me.

Lord, my heart overflows with gratitude for all You have done for me. You are Love, Mercy, and Grace personified and I cannot thank You enough. You are my Redeemer, and I will spend all my Time With You, praising You and offering You my adoration. Your grace and mercy are immeasurable, and I will never cease to pray and thank You for all You have done. You are worthy of all my devotion, and I will always honor You.

In the Precious Name of You Son, Jesus Christ, I Pray, Amen.

Philippians 3:13-14 – New International Version
“Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”

Thank you for joining me in this Time With God series. I pray it encouraged you, made sense, and opened your heart to the importance of spending intentional Time With Him. I encourage you to pause and reflect on your own Time With God. Let’s choose to prioritize it together.

Do you look forward to that time, or does life tend to crowd it out? Prayer, worship, and reading God’s Word should be our highest priority.

Keep God at the center of your life, and He will never lead you astray.

Was thinking about Psalm 46 this morning. My only concern is the comment that we become God. Did you mean to write this because the rest of the post was Biblically accurate.

I really appreciate the care behind your concern. Naming that distinction matters, especially in a space where language about closeness with God can easily be misunderstood.

What I hear in the piece is not an erasing of the Creator–creature boundary, but an emphasis on intimacy and belonging rather than identity replacement. Still, your question is a healthy one—it helps keep the conversation grounded and faithful.

Thank you for holding both openness and discernment together here.

Thank you, Livora, for helping clarify this. CattleCapers, I really appreciate your care in pointing it out. I don’t remember ever writing that we “become God” please let me know so I can fix it. My heart was only trying to express closeness and intimacy with God, not to erase the Creator-creature distinction.

Thank you for pointing that out… I don’t remember ever writing that, so I’m assuming you’re referring to this part (It’s not about becoming a Christian; it’s about becoming the Son of God) but if it’s not, please let me know so I can correct that error. 🙏

I really appreciate your careful reading and desire for accuracy.

Aww, thank you, Willie. I went back to your first one and typed a comment (on my phone) and I kept accidentally deleting it when I would hit the “x” to fix a typo. Your article hit straight to the heart and I was hoping to get to more today, but God sent former campground friends to visit and a lot of calls and catch ups. Praise Him for life and goodness!
Time with God. Your words and wisdom are always timely, true, and encouraging. I can’t imagine my relationship with Him if I didn’t spend the time I do. My prayer life has grown so much in the last 3 years. I’m currently writing out prayers to record and place on my blog. The ladies fire group that I began last year has encouraged my fellowship which in turn, has increased even more prayer time! For me to constantly use the power of the Holy Spirit, I have to have time with our Father. Could we imagine any relationship being one-sided? Yet, so many times I’ve failed him and didn’t do MY part.
When my day is busy, like today, and even with unplanned things, I become sad when I haven’t had the time in the Word, reflection, and prayer. So I give up other things to make sure that HE is getting priority. I know you understand this. I look forward to reading your other articles on Time with God, Willie.
Then, today, I’ve had visitors all day! Praise God for HIS plans and timing.

Sending love and prayers, brother, to all of you. God bless you for being a light in this world.🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❣️

You captured something essential here. Framing time with God as relationship rather than routine shifts the entire posture of faith—from striving to abiding.

Your emphasis on consistency over perfection feels especially aligned with the spirit of this finale. It reminds me that faithfulness often grows quietly, through repeated presence rather than dramatic moments.

Thank you for articulating that so clearly.

This closing reflection feels less like an ending and more like a quiet handing-over.

What stayed with me most was the insistence that prayer is not required by God, but desired by Him. That single shift reframes faith from effort to relationship, from performance to presence.

I was also struck by the way you brought Moses into this final prayer—not as a hero, but as someone hesitant, unsure, and still willing to show up. That feels deeply honest, and perhaps reassuring for many who feel faith but lack confidence.

Thank you for ending this series not with instruction, but with invitation. It leaves space to enter, not pressure to prove.

Thank you so much Livora for Reading and Commenting… I love how you described it, “A quiet handing-over.” That shift from effort to presence is exactly what I hoped would connect with everyone. And yes, Moses’ hesitation is so human; it reminds us that showing up is what matters, even when we feel unsure. I’m glad this closing felt like an invitation rather than a demand. To God be the Glory and Praise…

I’m Willie

Hello and Welcome to my Website.
My name is William Torres, but my family and friends call me Willie. It is a pleasure to be here with you today, and I am excited to share my faith journey with you.

My journey has been amazing and fulfilling as a new Christian. I have seen God work in my life in ways I never could have imagined. I have grown closer to my faith and have seen Him work in my life and the lives of those around me. I am truly blessed to call myself a Christian, and I am excited to continue to grow in my faith.

I believe that I have come a long way in life. Over the years, I have worked hard to become a better man, husband to Frances Torres, and father to our children. I have strived to be a good friend and companion to those I have been fortunate to build relationships with. I have learned to appreciate the small moments of joy and fulfillment that come with every human connection.

I began writing stories that I believe were inspired by the Holy Spirit. These stories are my testimonies about the different trials I have gone through, and how the Lord has helped me to overcome them. Through this process, I’ve discovered that I can forgive those I once vowed to never forgive, and in turn, my relationships with them have been restored. They are now a huge blessing and a special part of my life.

I hope that through my writing I can be a source of encouragement to other people in their faith and relationship with the Lord. I pray that those who read my words will be blessed by the Lord and find strength and comfort in His Word.

To be honest, I have had to come to terms with the fact that I am not perfect, but it is in this place of acceptance that I am able to truly worship a God who is. His infinite love brings me joy, strength, and peace, and I am thankful for the privilege of being able to serve Him.

I have also started a Social Media Ministry on Facebook, which I invite you to visit here. Being Crazy For Christ is a platform where I share my journey of faith, and I am also on YouTube – Willie Torres Jr. and I am excited to see all that God will do through it.

This is my hope, and I’m so thankful for it. I’m thankful for the love of Jesus, and I’m thankful for the chance to grow in Him together with you.

You Are Loved
