Footsteps of Grace
Daily writing prompt
Go on a walk today and share a photo of something that catches your eye.

I do not often go for walks,
yet my days are filled with footsteps.

Back and forth at work,
down aisles and hallways,
to the gas station,
to the grocery store,
always moving,
yet rarely stopping long enough
to truly enjoy the world around me.

The weather has been restless lately.
One day the sun stretches across the sky,
warming the earth with seventy and eighty-degree smiles.
A simple T-shirt is enough,
and the gentle breeze feels like a gift from God.

The next day arrives wrapped in clouds,
cold and gray,
calling for long sleeves and sweaters,
while I find myself longing again
for the warmth,
for the green forests,
for the life that spring paints across the earth.

They say walking is therapy.
Perhaps they are right.
There is something healing
about blooming flowers,
waving to neighbors,
and watching creation awaken
from winter’s sleep.

Yet on some cloudy days,
when the sky hangs heavy,
it can be difficult to notice the beauty.
Our minds become occupied
with worries, burdens,
and simply making it to the end of the day.

For those who believe,
a walk can become a conversation with God.
Each step a prayer.
Each breath a reminder
that He is near.

But for me,
some of the best medicine
comes through people.

A shared laugh.
A meaningful conversation.
A kind word from someone
who brightens an ordinary day.

Sometimes that is the gift God sends,
not through the scenery around us,
but through the hearts beside us.

So will I go out today
to admire the green grass,
the towering trees,
or the lilies growing quietly in the valley?

Probably not.

But I will keep moving.
I will keep talking.
I will keep finding reasons to smile.

And whether through a walk,
a conversation,
or a simple moment of grace,
I will thank God
for carrying me through another day.

One of the big things that the Lord has been showing me lately is to be aware of His presence because He is always with me. So when you said “And whether through a walk,
    a conversation,
or a simple moment of grace,
    I will thank God
for carrying me through another day.” It really resonated with me. Thanks for this Brother, Blessings

Awesome post, Willie. We must always find a reason to smile. What prompts me to smile is when God uses me to bring out a smile in others.

Just yesterday, while in the grocery checkout line, I noted that many people in the line voiced negative and hurtful comments to the young cashier about her performace.

When I got to the cashier, I told her how much I appreciated her and thanked her for showing up for work. She smiled. “Thank you, sir. It’s my second day on the job. I really needed that compliment.”

It felt so good to know that God used me to make someone happy. I wholeheartedly agree with you, brother. We must keep moving, and find a reason to smile.

What Ya’ Thinking?

I’m Willie

Hello and Welcome to my Website.
My name is William Torres, but my family and friends call me Willie. It is a pleasure to be here with you today, and I am excited to share my faith journey with you.

My journey has been amazing and fulfilling as a new Christian. I have seen God work in my life in ways I never could have imagined. I have grown closer to my faith and have seen Him work in my life and the lives of those around me. I am truly blessed to call myself a Christian, and I am excited to continue to grow in my faith.

I believe that I have come a long way in life. Over the years, I have worked hard to become a better man, husband to Frances Torres, and father to our children. I have strived to be a good friend and companion to those I have been fortunate to build relationships with. I have learned to appreciate the small moments of joy and fulfillment that come with every human connection.

I began writing stories that I believe were inspired by the Holy Spirit. These stories are my testimonies about the different trials I have gone through, and how the Lord has helped me to overcome them. Through this process, I’ve discovered that I can forgive those I once vowed to never forgive, and in turn, my relationships with them have been restored. They are now a huge blessing and a special part of my life.

I hope that through my writing I can be a source of encouragement to other people in their faith and relationship with the Lord. I pray that those who read my words will be blessed by the Lord and find strength and comfort in His Word.

To be honest, I have had to come to terms with the fact that I am not perfect, but it is in this place of acceptance that I am able to truly worship a God who is. His infinite love brings me joy, strength, and peace, and I am thankful for the privilege of being able to serve Him.

I have also started a Social Media Ministry on Facebook, which I invite you to visit here. Being Crazy For Christ is a platform where I share my journey of faith, and I am also on YouTube – Willie Torres Jr. and I am excited to see all that God will do through it.

This is my hope, and I’m so thankful for it. I’m thankful for the love of Jesus, and I’m thankful for the chance to grow in Him together with you.
