Book Review From Dawn

Grateful and Humbled

Today I want to share something that truly touched my heart.

My Dear Friend Dawn Pisturino wrote a beautiful review of my book, Take Me Out With The Crowd, and I am deeply grateful for the time, care, and prayerful thought she put into reading it and writing such a heartfelt reflection.

As a writer, and especially as someone who writes to honor Jesus Christ, it means so much when someone not only reads your work, but understands the heart behind it. Dawn saw that this book was never just about sports. It was about faith. It was about making Christ our first passion. It was about pointing people back to God.

Her review encouraged me more than I can say.

There are times I have felt and continue to feel discouraged in this writing journey. There are times I have questioned whether anything I write is making a difference. Then the Lord sends encouragement through people like Dawn, and I am reminded that God can use even the smallest offering when it is placed in His hands.

I thank God for Dawn, for her kindness, and for her willingness to share this review. I also want to encourage you to visit Dawn’s blog and follow her work. She is a thoughtful writer who often reads books and shares honest, meaningful reviews, along with inspiring reflections and engaging posts on a variety of topics. Her page is a blessing, and I believe many of you would enjoy and be encouraged by what she shares.

I also want to thank all of you who have supported my writing, read my books, shared kind words, or left encouraging comments along the way. Your support has meant more than you know.

Any good that comes from my writing belongs to the Lord.

To God be all the Glory.

I invite you to read Dawn’s review above, and if it encourages you, I would be honored to hear your thoughts.

Thank you, Dawn. Your kindness has been a blessing to me.

This is a deeply moving and grace-filled reflection. What stands out most is how you recognize encouragement not merely as human appreciation, but as a timely instrument of God’s presence in moments of quiet doubt. Your response to Dawn’s review beautifully illustrates how faith is often strengthened through the words and actions of others.

The humility with which you receive the affirmation, and your renewed commitment to continue writing for God’s glory, is both inspiring and instructive. It reminds readers that our callings are sustained not by constant certainty, but by trust—often rekindled through unexpected encouragement.

Thank you for sharing this testimony. It gently but powerfully reaffirms that no sincere effort offered in faith is ever unseen, and that God faithfully provides what is needed to keep us moving forward.

“Any good that comes from my writing belongs to the Lord.” Willie this statement alone shows the humble heart that you have before the Lord. May He continue to bless you and give you the strength you need to complete the work He has planned for you.

Thank you so much Bill and Thank you for your kind and encouraging words. I truly appreciate them.

That statement comes from a real place in my heart. I have learned, and I continue to learn, that without the Lord, I can do nothing of lasting value. He is the source of every good thing, including the words I write.

Your encouragement means a lot to me. There are times when the work feels heavy, but messages like yours remind me that God is still using it in ways I may not always see.

I give all Glory to God, and I pray He continues to guide and strengthen all that He has called me to do.

Had to go through several iterations with grok to get the prompts necessary to adjust the pic, but once I got the prompts right, chatgpt was able to ‘fix’ your image. Chatgpt recently upgraded its graphic program, but still requires careful prompts.

Congratulations on this review, Willie. Book writing is tough. It usually takes years before we it in print, and then we may not ever get much feedback. If we write with passion, and we do what we can to promote the book, we then let it fly in whatever way it goes.

Thank you so much Mary and Thank you for Reading and Commenting here and on Dawn’s Blog…

You are right, writing a book takes time, patience, and perseverance. But honestly, the hardest part is breaking away from discouragement. I can’t count how many times I wrestle with God about writing. There are moments I find myself saying, “What’s the point, it does no good for me.”

And then He gently reminds me that it is not about me, it is about Him.

It brings me back to a simple truth I hold onto: if my writing blesses even one person and brings them closer to the Lord, isn’t that worth more than fortune and fame?

I am truly grateful for your encouragement and support.

God Bless You, today and always, my Dear Friend…

What a beautiful and faith-filled sharing, Willie!
It’s very touching to see how sincere recognition, like Dawn’s, can renew the heart of the writer, especially when the writing is born from such a profound purpose. You can feel in your words that this path goes beyond books: it’s a mission.
I found it especially beautiful when you remember that even the smallest offerings can be used by God. This brings hope to all of us who, at some point, also doubt the impact of what we do.
Congratulations on your sensitivity, perseverance, and for keeping Christ at the center of everything. May your work continue to reach and encourage many people.
Thank you for sharing this very special moment, my friend. I wish you a blessed and inspired week. 🙂🙏✨✍🏻🦁🦊

I’m Willie

Hello and Welcome to my Website.
My name is William Torres, but my family and friends call me Willie. It is a pleasure to be here with you today, and I am excited to share my faith journey with you.

My journey has been amazing and fulfilling as a new Christian. I have seen God work in my life in ways I never could have imagined. I have grown closer to my faith and have seen Him work in my life and the lives of those around me. I am truly blessed to call myself a Christian, and I am excited to continue to grow in my faith.

I believe that I have come a long way in life. Over the years, I have worked hard to become a better man, husband to Frances Torres, and father to our children. I have strived to be a good friend and companion to those I have been fortunate to build relationships with. I have learned to appreciate the small moments of joy and fulfillment that come with every human connection.

I began writing stories that I believe were inspired by the Holy Spirit. These stories are my testimonies about the different trials I have gone through, and how the Lord has helped me to overcome them. Through this process, I’ve discovered that I can forgive those I once vowed to never forgive, and in turn, my relationships with them have been restored. They are now a huge blessing and a special part of my life.

I hope that through my writing I can be a source of encouragement to other people in their faith and relationship with the Lord. I pray that those who read my words will be blessed by the Lord and find strength and comfort in His Word.

To be honest, I have had to come to terms with the fact that I am not perfect, but it is in this place of acceptance that I am able to truly worship a God who is. His infinite love brings me joy, strength, and peace, and I am thankful for the privilege of being able to serve Him.

I have also started a Social Media Ministry on Facebook, which I invite you to visit here. Being Crazy For Christ is a platform where I share my journey of faith, and I am also on YouTube – Willie Torres Jr. and I am excited to see all that God will do through it.

This is my hope, and I’m so thankful for it. I’m thankful for the love of Jesus, and I’m thankful for the chance to grow in Him together with you.

You Are Loved
