Time With God – Part 6

Revised Edition Part Six

Welcome back to Time With God, Part Six of Eight. If you haven’t read Part One through Four yet, I encourage you to catch up here, here, here , here, here, and here.. This journey is transformative, and starting from the beginning will help you engage fully with the message.

We live in a world governed by time, 60 minutes in an hour, 24 hours in a day, and so on. But how much of that time are we dedicating to God? While time is a gift, it’s easy to let distractions steal it away.

Do you eagerly anticipate your Time With God? Or does life get in the way? Spending Time With God, through prayer, worship, and Bible reading, should be our highest priority.

Are you still?

Are you taking time to truly connect with God? Or have you been distracted, missing out on the transformative power of being in His presence?

As we continue this series, I encourage you to reflect on your Time With God. Let’s prioritize it together. Don’t forget to subscribe so you don’t miss the next part of this life-changing journey.

Be Blessed and Be a Blessing..

We give all glory and honor to God for His countless gifts and blessings. Every single day, we are reminded of His greatness and the abundance of good that He has allowed us to experience. We praise and worship Him for His generosity and grace, knowing that all the goodness in our lives is due to Him. We strive to live a life of gratitude and humility, recognizing that it is only through His guidance and grace that we can be successful and content in our lives. We are eternally grateful for all that God has bestowed upon us, and we give Him glory and honor for all our blessings.

God has given us permission to do the things we have done and are doing. He told us He wants us to do them, that it is our free will. He already knew about them, and He knew what the outcome would be. He gave us the will to do it, but He also shows us the way if we trust Him. We may not understand why He allows certain things, but He has a plan for us, and He will see us through it. We must remember that God is with us, and He will bring us through any situation. He will provide us with strength and courage if we have faith in Him. That is why we must rely on Him and put our trust in Him.

We have so much to be thankful for. A simple fact of being alive is cause for immense gratitude and praise to God. No matter how difficult life may seem or how much you dislike your current situation, God knows your heart and has allowed you to make your own choices. He is waiting for you to surrender to Him, so that He can be your strength and guide you through the decisions you make. He is faithful and will stand by your side as you navigate life.

Matthew 24:13 – New International Version
but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.

We can always be thankful for the fact that we are still alive and that we have the opportunity to make our own choices. God watches over us, waiting for us to admit that we need His help, and to surrender ourselves to Him. His mercy and grace are available to us anytime we need it. We can simply say, “I surrender!” and He will provide us with the strength to continue on.

Are you ready? Are you ready to stop living life your way and live your life the way God has planned it, as He intended it? I am ready, and I encourage you to do the same. Let us surrender our lives to God and walk in faith and obedience to His will for our lives. Let us live the life He has planned for us and experience the joy, peace, and purpose that He has for us. Let us live a life of faith and follow God’s plan for our lives.

The WWJD symbol and logo have become an iconic representation of the Christian faith, representing a call to action for Christians to emulate the life of Jesus in their everyday lives. The acronym stands for “What Would Jesus Do?” and encourages Christians to ask themselves this question whenever they face a difficult decision. I may have to face the possibility of losing some friends and contacts because of my faith. People may point their fingers and talk behind my back, but that doesn’t faze me anymore. I know I am doing the right thing by standing up for my beliefs, and I am proud to be a Christian. I may post religious messages and content on social media, and I’m prepared to accept any criticism that comes my way. I’m not afraid to show my faith in public, no matter what the consequences may be. I’m not going to let anyone else dictate my beliefs or how I choose to express them. Let them judge me, let them mimic me; let them say what they want. What would Jesus do? Jesus would show love and compassion for everyone, even those who are not so kind. That’s what I strive to do. I will love them regardless, I will pray for them if they ask, but I will no longer be living for the world’s approval. I am here to be obedient to my God and spend Time With Him, to show Him my love and devotion. Even if others cannot understand, God is changing me, and I trust that He will change them too. I will not give in to the pressures of the world and will focus my attention on being obedient to God. He is my rock and my salvation, and I will put my trust in Him.

It was great to see my former co-worker when he visited my job a few days ago. He often comes to visit the old gang and hang out, so it wasn’t a surprise to see him there. On this particular day, he walked up to me and said, “Hello Pastor Willie,” and asked if I was going to become a Pastor. I had been posting a lot of religious content on social media, and my friend obviously had noticed. I’m not sure what his purpose was: was he wondering if I had an intention or plan in mind, or was he trying to be rude, making a joke at my expense to get a laugh from the other guys in the shop? Either way, it was a strange interaction that left me feeling a bit uncomfortable. My response to the suggestion that I might be trying to portray myself as a Pastor is that I’m not trying to do that. I’m simply sharing what God puts in my heart on social media, and if I read something that moves me or think might move someone else, I’m likely to share it in the hope that it brings them closer to God. I don’t have any agenda other than that, and I’m not claiming to be a Pastor or anything like that. I’m just someone who loves God, and I want to spread His message in whatever way I can.

2 Timothy 2:15 – Holman Christian Standard Bible
Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who doesn’t need to be ashamed, correctly teaching the word of truth.

I admit that I do not know God’s plan for me right now. I am nothing more than a humble servant, a sinner who desires a relationship with the Lord. I firmly believe that I was created for a purpose – to honor and glorify God, to keep a relationship with Him, and to bask in His presence for eternity. I cannot live my life on my own; I need the guidance of the Lord to show me the way. I want to live my life in accordance with His will, allowing Him to direct my path and trusting in His divine plan for me.

I want to take a moment to acknowledge and accept that I cannot do life alone. I need something bigger than myself, something that will always be there for me no matter what I face. I have come to recognize that Jesus is the only One who can lead me to the Father, and the only name given to us to be saved. He is the only way, and I am grateful to have found Him.

John 6:44 – New Century Version
The Father is the One who sent me. No one can come to me unless the Father draws him to me, and I will raise that person up on the last day.

Contrary to what some people think or say, I don’t just post nonstop religious things on social media. I still post music, jokes, and pictures of my vacation trips, tours, and meals. Nevertheless, why should it matter what I or anyone for that matter posts? Don’t let the people who are so quick to judge and criticize you for your Christian life and your Godly ways stop you from doing what makes you happy. You should be able to express your faith in your own way without feeling intimidated or ashamed. Your faith should be a source of joy and strength for you, and it should never stop you from living life to the fullest.

It can be easy to let the opinions of others cloud our judgement when it comes to faith and our relationship with The Lord. Don’t let those who point fingers at your beliefs get in the way of your relationship with God. He is your friend forever, always and evermore. He is a constant and comforting presence in our lives, no matter what. On the other hand, so-called “friends” can come and go, and they won’t be there for you forever. Don’t let their opinions shake your faith. Keep God at the forefront of your life and he won’t steer you wrong. He is a faithful companion who will always be there for you, no matter what.

Keep God at the forefront of your life and he won’t steer you wrong

Great post, Willie. I love this series. Spending quality time with God is necessary for spiritual growth. It is at the top of my list of things to do on any given day. Many days, I could stay in His presence all day.

The one thing I have noticed from spending time with God is that He loves to talk when He knows you are listening.

Thank you so much and Thank you for Reading and Commenting… I feel the same way, there’s nothing greater than spending Time With God. That’s actually how my writing began… just being still, sitting with Him, asking the “why,” and watching Him show me the “how,” how He’s been working and how He’s always been there. His presence changes everything.

Wonderful text, dear friend Willie. Another text for us to reflect on the importance of setting aside time to give thanks and be with God in spirit, in prayer, in meditation. Many times, Willie, I’ve noticed that we even have some time, but our minds are restless; it seems there’s no space in our minds to enter into prayer. These past few days, I found myself like that, without realizing it, my mind preoccupied with so many things. Suddenly, I stopped that week and saw that something was missing. That something, you brought to us in this text, which is a continuation of previous texts about Time with God. Regarding social pressures and the anxieties of those around us who are “bothered” by our beliefs, as you advise, the best thing is to ignore them and not allow these harmful weeds to poison our hearts. Thank you, my friend, have a blessed week!🤗🙏🏻✨🎉🎁✨🌠🦁🦊

Thank you, Adriana. I know exactly what you mean. Recently I myself have been guilty of this too. I sit down to spend Time With God and start my prayer, but then all the thoughts start rushing in. Everything going on in my life, what my wife is dealing with, our kids, work, what I need to write next, what to add to my book, even the stress of driving to work in these terrible conditions. And before I know it, my Time With God gets distracted, and the worrying, the fears, and the anxieties all start creeping in.

It’s so easy to lose focus on the One we should be focusing on. But I’m grateful He’s patient, gentle, and always ready to pull us back.

Thank you so much for Reading and Commenting and for always being a Blessing…

Lieber Willie, vielen vielen Dank für deine lebendige Inspiration. 💖

Thank you so much and Thank you for Reading and Commenting… You are right, the world has changed so much. But the heart of it stays the same: keep our eyes on Jesus and live out our faith without shame.

I think back to when I was younger and just starting to go to church. One of the songs they sang all the time was: No Way, We Are Not Ashamed – Recorded and Song by Carman. I remember part of the chorus, the words were:

No way, we are not ashamed
Of the Gospel or His name
      Holy hands are lifted high
To the name of Jesus Christ.

Those words stayed with me. Key words to live by. Never be ashamed of the Gospel, and in everything, lift His name on high.

Thank you again for the encouragement.

Be Blessed always, we all need God’s light and His steady hand guiding us. 🙏

Absolutely true. Pleasing God won’t always please people, but standing firm for Him is so worth it.

Thank you for Reading and for that reminder. Amen 🙏

Sorry, I’ve been long in answering. Life doesn’t always balance as you know. If the Lord is happy with me, why should I worry about others.

This is a monument to your faith in Christ. The worldly man cannot understand why anyone like this is so important to someone like you. It’s your fire and desire to express the love of Christ for them, you aren’t the first to be heckled, you won’t be the last, but it’s certain that you’re in great company, brother.
    Many blessings, and great courage!

It feels refreshing to read this reflection — that our time with God shouldn’t be just an afterthought, but a central commitment amid daily chaos. The call to be honest about how we spend our hours stirs a real desire in me to prioritize meaningful moments with Him. Thank you for sharing this thoughtful encouragement.

Thank you for every visit and every word you leave on my blog — you are the kind of steady, positive presence every writer hopes for. May the Lord Jesus bless you richly, my friend.

Howdy had to make a re-write. Tonight begins Hanukkah.

The Total Darkness which Hanukkah Represents.

“Bringing more light to the world”, totally misses the point. Hanukkah remembers the P’rushim Tzeddukim Civil War. Jews today have forgotten the meaning and purpose of t’shuva. The Tzeddukim רשעים sought to “convert” Jerusalem into a Greek polis/city state. Assimilated Jews, both Tzeddukim and the Reshonim rabbis of Spain – rejected the revelation of the Oral Torah at Horev. Which the kabbalah of rabbi Akiva’s פרדס defines through its unique 4 part inductive reasoning logical thought process. This system of logic specifically compares Judicial Case rulings to other similiar but different Judicial Case rulings.

The Tzeddukim, sons of Aaron, had totally assimilated, no different from the rabbis of Spain during the early years of the Middle Ages when Muslim armies conquered Spain and discovered the concealed ancient Greek philosophies and mathematics which the church concealed after Constantine became emperor; hence the period known as the “Dark Ages”. Deductive syllogism logic relies upon plane geometry which limits reality to a fixed 3 dimensional world. Much like the scientific method popular among science today limits reality to empirical evidence.

The fundamental difference between the victory of the P’rushim in Judea over the assimilated T’zeddukim, to the inverse victory of assimilated rabbis in Spain, specifically the Rambam Civil War, these assimilated and intermarried Spanish rabbis, they totally embraced Greek philosophy just like as did the Tzeddukim some 1000 years earlier. Specifically the 3 part syllogism logic of deductive reasoning, which assimilated and intermarried Jews of Spain abandoned and forgot the Oral Torah.

How did these assimilated and intermarried Reshonim rabbis of Spain forget and abandon the Torah? They failed to learn inductive פרדס logic whose inductive reasoning closely resembles the dynamics of Calculus variables. Greek syllogism logic more approaches a fixed static reasoning. Something like the engineering of constructing a bridge to span a river. They perverted both T’NaCH & Talmudic judicial courtroom law into cult of personality “Legislative” statute law. Law established through courts completely different from Law established by Legislative decrees. No different from Greek and Roman statute law. This foreign alien legal system organized law into neat classifications, like as did the Rambam’s Yad Chazakah perversion of Talmudic halachot. Rather than upon Judicial Mishnaic Case/Rule courtroom rulings.

How did this radically change both T’NaCH and Talmud? Notice that the statute law halachic codifications made by the Rambam, Tur, Beit Yosef/Shulkan Aruch – they cannot and do not assist a Talmudic scholar to learn a page of Gemara. Why? The Rambam failed to attach his halachic rulings affixed to a specific Mishna like as did the B’HaG, Rif, Rosh and Baali Tosafot common law halachic codes/commentaries.

Hence by organizing Gemara halacha divorced from their most essential root Mishna – which the Gemara comments solely upon, the Rambams posok halacha – although straight from the pages of the Talmud – had no meaning as it related to a required specific root Mishna. The B’HaG, Rif and Rosh common law codifications almost ALWAYS open with the fundamentally required root Mishna upon which the Gemara halachot comment upon.

In the Talmud those halachot serve their designated essential purpose as common law judicial precedents. The Gemara interprets or re-interpret the intent/כוונה language of the root Mishna, viewed from the fixed witness perspective that these Gemarah Halachic precedents “see or view” the root Mishna, based upon a limited and defined perspective. Much like the Front, Top, Side views of a blue-print that permits a קבלן to construct a building.

Whereas the victorious P’rushim of Judea lit the lights of Chanukkah with the dedication to only interpret the intent of the Written Torah Constitution, and Sanhedrin Court common law justice system, limited only to פרדס inductive logic; the assimilated rabbis of Spain “forgot the Oral Torah” just like the blessing of Hanukkah in the midst of ברכת המזון depicts the Tzeddukim רשעים.

Jews today for the most part do not have the least bit of a clue what distinguishes פרדס logic from Greek syllogism logic. The do not grasp the essential facts that just as a loom as its warp and weft threads, so too the Talmud has its halachic and aggadic “threads”. Jews today have forgotten the Torah and therefore blown out the Hanukkah lights. Just as likewise did the assimilated and intermarried Reshonim rabbis of Spain. This dark reality exposed the lights of Hannukah which repudiated the assimilated and intermarried Tzeddukim and later Karaim g’lut Jewry.

The Rambam code caused a ירידות הדורות domino effect which permitted the Karaite rabbis to prevail over traditional common law judicial Judaism. The Karaites like their assimilated and intermarried Tzeddukim traitor fore fathers rejected the revelation of the Oral Torah on Yom Kippur at Horev 40 days after the sin of the Golden Calf. Blowing out the lights of Hanukkah worships the Golden Calf preferred religious belief systems over righteous Courtroom justice which strives to make fair compensation of damages inflicted. Hence Hanukkah today depict a reality of total darkness rather than light.

I’m Willie

Hello and Welcome to my Website.
My name is William Torres, but my family and friends call me Willie. It is a pleasure to be here with you today, and I am excited to share my faith journey with you.

My journey has been amazing and fulfilling as a new Christian. I have seen God work in my life in ways I never could have imagined. I have grown closer to my faith and have seen Him work in my life and the lives of those around me. I am truly blessed to call myself a Christian, and I am excited to continue to grow in my faith.

I believe that I have come a long way in life. Over the years, I have worked hard to become a better man, husband to Frances Torres, and father to our children. I have strived to be a good friend and companion to those I have been fortunate to build relationships with. I have learned to appreciate the small moments of joy and fulfillment that come with every human connection.

I began writing stories that I believe were inspired by the Holy Spirit. These stories are my testimonies about the different trials I have gone through, and how the Lord has helped me to overcome them. Through this process, I’ve discovered that I can forgive those I once vowed to never forgive, and in turn, my relationships with them have been restored. They are now a huge blessing and a special part of my life.

I hope that through my writing I can be a source of encouragement to other people in their faith and relationship with the Lord. I pray that those who read my words will be blessed by the Lord and find strength and comfort in His Word.

To be honest, I have had to come to terms with the fact that I am not perfect, but it is in this place of acceptance that I am able to truly worship a God who is. His infinite love brings me joy, strength, and peace, and I am thankful for the privilege of being able to serve Him.

I have also started a Social Media Ministry on Facebook, which I invite you to visit here. Being Crazy For Christ is a platform where I share my journey of faith, and I am also on YouTube – Willie Torres Jr. and I am excited to see all that God will do through it.

This is my hope, and I’m so thankful for it. I’m thankful for the love of Jesus, and I’m thankful for the chance to grow in Him together with you.

You Are Loved
