‘Pawsome Blog Award’.
On March 22, 2025, something truly special happened, I wasn’t just nominated for a blog award; I was deeply honored and uplifted in a way that words can barely express. My Dear Friend and Brother, Ernie. known to many of us as “DawgyDaddy” created what he calls the Dawghouse Choice ‘Pawsome Blog Award’, and I had the privilege of being his first recipient.
To be recognized for your writing is always encouraging. A simple like or comment can go a long way in making us feel seen and appreciated. But when someone takes the time to share your work on their own blog, invite their readers to visit your page, and speak words of genuine praise, it becomes something far more meaningful. It becomes a true gift from the heart.
If this were a physical trophy, I’d proudly display it on my shelf, not for the Recognition itself, but because of who it came from. Anyone who knows Ernie knows he’s more than just a great writer, a remarkable poet, but he’s a generous soul, a steady encourager, and someone whose words come wrapped in warmth, humor, and love. When you’re having a rough day, he shows up, ready with comfort, kindness, and often a good laugh too.
From the moment I connected with Ernie, I knew he was something special. I never imagined that I’d not only find a fellow writer but a True Brother and a Brother in Christ. Ernie, thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for this award and for the honor of your friendship. I meant it when I said this might just be the most meaningful award I’ve ever received.
Not long ago, I wrote a post about Recognition, and what it taught me was that all Glory, Honor, and Recognition ultimately belong to our Heavenly Father. I write to Glorify Him, to share what I believe He places on my heart. And even in this beautiful moment of being recognized, it’s another reminder that He continues to use us, even through our struggles, to speak hope into the lives of others.
The Lord knows the battles I face, and I trust He’s the one holding me together through it all. Alongside His Grace, I’m deeply grateful for the unwavering support of my wife and boys who help carry me through. And beyond that, it’s truly a blessing to have a caring community here on WordPress, like you, Brother, whose kindness means more than words can say.
You are dearly loved, my Brother. And I’ll say it loud and proud, thank you for being the Best Damn Dawg, Friend, and Brother a guy could ask for. 🐾🙏❤️
