Trust God & Take The Step

If you had your own billboard, what would it say?

If I had a billboard, it would say: Trust God and Take The Step. Faith isn’t waiting until everything feels safe, it’s moving forward knowing He goes before us. Sometimes obedience is our “just do it.”

Faith is trusting God enough to take a step even when it doesn’t feel safe. It’s knowing He goes before us, guiding every move, even when the path is uncertain. Sometimes obedience is our ‘just do it,’ and that’s where true faith grows, strength builds, and God’s purposes unfold in our lives.

I originally wrote this as a comment on my friend Karen’s post, but it stayed with me, so I wanted to share it here too.

A thoughtful and encouraging reflection. This post is a powerful reminder that faith isn’t passive — it calls us to trust God enough to move forward, even when the next step feels uncertain. Truly inspiring and timely.

Wise words, my friend. Your comment that faith is trusting God even when it doesn’t FEEL safe to make the step is so true. Fear is so much a part of our culture now, especially our Christian culture, even when the Lord has reminded us again and again not to be afraid. I love your billboard, Willie. It’s one we should all adopt who know Jesus.

I have no idea how to make a poster, but what I do know for sure is that having God in our lives is because He provides peace, guidance, and purpose, satisfying an innate spiritual need, offering strength in the face of difficulties, and giving us a frame of reference to make the right decisions and find meaning in life, something that human beings alone cannot fully offer.

Thank you for this and Thank you for Reading and Commenting.
You said it beautifully and it really aligns with why I chose that title.
Trusting God gives clarity, peace, and the courage to take that next step when we cannot see the whole path.

Taking those steps forward are scary but we walk by faith, never by our circumstances. Wonderful post, Willie.

The above statement has been our life since 1980 when we stepped out in faith and trusted the scriptures that say to believe in Jesus and trust Him for our lives and our eternity. Little did we know how life was going to test that faith we acted upon. Just last night we were talking to a young couple starting a church in Ky., and they had already met with opposition. We were able to encourage them from our walk of faith.

God built on the faith we started with to where we went from a secular job to full time at a local church that paid less then that job that offered us all the perks such as health insurance, etc. It was a huge step of faith and then several other issue caused our faith to grow to the point when we believed He wanted us in overseas missions, with Ethnos 360. This mission organization ministered to those least reached, hard to get into place, speaking an unknow language. It all seems beyond our abilities in every step we took. In the second and third part of the training we were not able to work to earn money to support us, yet we never went without a meal and always had gas for our car, etc. So many stories I could tell about a walk of faith.

I love what you wrote for it fits for what ever we are trusting God for. It’s all scary and its all leaves us just where God wants us, depending on Him and not in ourselves. He wants everyone of His children to walk in this life with sometimes blind faith until we can say, yes Lord whatever you want me to do, I trust you. Through each step we left behind faith in ourselves and our faith in Him grew. It’s the process that He works through, no matter our age. Some grow like a turtle and some like a rabbit but everyone will grow is they trust Him. To wake up each morning to a new day with Him is the very best heaven offer us. I love this post brother.

“Sometimes obedience is our ‘just do it’.” When we wait for God to do it, we have hope. When we do it because God said it, we have faith.

I’m Willie

Hello and Welcome to my Website.
My name is William Torres, but my family and friends call me Willie. It is a pleasure to be here with you today, and I am excited to share my faith journey with you.

My journey has been amazing and fulfilling as a new Christian. I have seen God work in my life in ways I never could have imagined. I have grown closer to my faith and have seen Him work in my life and the lives of those around me. I am truly blessed to call myself a Christian, and I am excited to continue to grow in my faith.

I believe that I have come a long way in life. Over the years, I have worked hard to become a better man, husband to Frances Torres, and father to our children. I have strived to be a good friend and companion to those I have been fortunate to build relationships with. I have learned to appreciate the small moments of joy and fulfillment that come with every human connection.

I began writing stories that I believe were inspired by the Holy Spirit. These stories are my testimonies about the different trials I have gone through, and how the Lord has helped me to overcome them. Through this process, I’ve discovered that I can forgive those I once vowed to never forgive, and in turn, my relationships with them have been restored. They are now a huge blessing and a special part of my life.

I hope that through my writing I can be a source of encouragement to other people in their faith and relationship with the Lord. I pray that those who read my words will be blessed by the Lord and find strength and comfort in His Word.

To be honest, I have had to come to terms with the fact that I am not perfect, but it is in this place of acceptance that I am able to truly worship a God who is. His infinite love brings me joy, strength, and peace, and I am thankful for the privilege of being able to serve Him.

I have also started a Social Media Ministry on Facebook, which I invite you to visit here. Being Crazy For Christ is a platform where I share my journey of faith, and I am also on YouTube – Willie Torres Jr. and I am excited to see all that God will do through it.

This is my hope, and I’m so thankful for it. I’m thankful for the love of Jesus, and I’m thankful for the chance to grow in Him together with you.
