Saturday Six Word Story Prompt (6WSP) #126 – Feb 22, 2025

LOST

“I haven’t Lost faith through struggles.”

This prompt challenge comes at the perfect time as I’m working on a post about Curse and Faith (still figuring out the title). It’s about facing struggles, or as many of us say, weathering the storms. If we have faith, can we truly leave our challenges in God’s hands, or do we cry out, wondering why we’re being cursed? These are questions we all wrestle with, ones we often find ourselves pleading with God about.

I’ll keep you all updated on the post, but I believe it’s going to be a powerful and personal message. So far, this year has been full of trial after trial for my family and me. But, I haven’t Lost Faith Through Struggles.

    Through my struggles, and sometimes doubt, my faith has grown stronger. I rarely cry out “why me” anymore, but put everything in His hands, knowing or believing He will see me through.

    Not losing faith through the struggles is a crucial aspect of living in communion with God. That’s real faith! Many have faith until they face challenges! There are definitely moments when the storms feel overwhelming, and it’s hard to keep the faith; I know this all too well.. But I remind myself that even in the darkest times, God is with us, guiding us through the storms. If we lose Faith, we lose Hope, and without Hope, it’s hard to keep moving forward. It’s in those difficult moments that our Faith is truly tested, and holding onto it can make all the difference. God doesn’t promise us a life without storms, but He does promise to walk with us through them. His strength becomes our strength.

      Thank you for your encouragement, and for reminding me and us, that we can face anything when we trust in Him.

Without a doubt, the most important thing is not to get “lost” in our own emotions, because consequently this will make us disbelieve in who we really are and what we came here to do. “These things I have spoken to you, that in me you may have peace.     Our struggles either break us or make us. With faith in a God who is the creator of the universe, you know there is evidence.

    I think when it comes to trials we need to a take a view from the other side of glory if we can. We need to understand the eternal weight of glory that is being worked by our present trials.

      Easier said than done, but you’re absolutely right. It’s easy to get caught up in the weight of our trials, but when we step back and view them through the lens of eternity, we can see how God is using them for His Glory and our growth. As Paul reminds us in 2 Corinthians 4:17, “For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.” That doesn’t mean the pain isn’t real or the struggle isn’t difficult, but it does mean that none of it is in vain. God is working through every hardship to shape us, strengthen our faith, and draw us closer to Him. It’s not always easy to trust His purpose, but when we keep our eyes on eternity, we can endure with hope.

I’m Willie

Hello and Welcome to my Website.
My name is William Torres, but my family and friends call me Willie. It is a pleasure to be here with you today, and I am excited to share my faith journey with you.

My journey has been amazing and fulfilling as a new Christian. I have seen God work in my life in ways I never could have imagined. I have grown closer to my faith and have seen Him work in my life and the lives of those around me. I am truly blessed to call myself a Christian, and I am excited to continue to grow in my faith.

I believe that I have come a long way in life. Over the years, I have worked hard to become a better man, husband to Frances Torres, and father to our children. I have strived to be a good friend and companion to those I have been fortunate to build relationships with. I have learned to appreciate the small moments of joy and fulfillment that come with every human connection.

I began writing stories that I believe were inspired by the Holy Spirit. These stories are my testimonies about the different trials I have gone through, and how the Lord has helped me to overcome them. Through this process, I’ve discovered that I can forgive those I once vowed to never forgive, and in turn, my relationships with them have been restored. They are now a huge blessing and a special part of my life.

I hope that through my writing I can be a source of encouragement to other people in their faith and relationship with the Lord. I pray that those who read my words will be blessed by the Lord and find strength and comfort in His Word.

To be honest, I have had to come to terms with the fact that I am not perfect, but it is in this place of acceptance that I am able to truly worship a God who is. His infinite love brings me joy, strength, and peace, and I am thankful for the privilege of being able to serve Him.

I have also started a Social Media Ministry on Facebook, which I invite you to visit here. Being Crazy For Christ is a platform where I share my journey of faith, and I am also on YouTube – Willie Torres Jr. and I am excited to see all that God will do through it.

This is my hope, and I’m so thankful for it. I’m thankful for the love of Jesus, and I’m thankful for the chance to grow in Him together with you.
