Hello and Welcome to my Website.
My name is William Torres, but my family and friends call me Willie. It is a pleasure to be here with you today, and I am excited to share my faith journey with you.
My journey has been amazing and fulfilling as a new Christian. I have seen God work in my life in ways I never could have imagined. I have grown closer to my faith and have seen Him work in my life and the lives of those around me. I am truly blessed to call myself a Christian, and I am excited to continue to grow in my faith.
I believe that I have come a long way in life. Over the years, I have worked hard to become a better man, husband to Frances Torres, and father to our children. I have strived to be a good friend and companion to those I have been fortunate to build relationships with. I have learned to appreciate the small moments of joy and fulfillment that come with every human connection.
I began writing stories that I believe were inspired by the Holy Spirit. These stories are my testimonies about the different trials I have gone through, and how the Lord has helped me to overcome them. Through this process, I’ve discovered that I can forgive those I once vowed to never forgive, and in turn, my relationships with them have been restored. They are now a huge blessing and a special part of my life.
I hope that through my writing I can be a source of encouragement to other people in their faith and relationship with the Lord. I pray that those who read my words will be blessed by the Lord and find strength and comfort in His Word.
To be honest, I have had to come to terms with the fact that I am not perfect, but it is in this place of acceptance that I am able to truly worship a God who is. His infinite love brings me joy, strength, and peace, and I am thankful for the privilege of being able to serve Him.
I have also started a Social Media Ministry on Facebook, which I invite you to visit here. Being Crazy For Christ is a platform where I share my journey of faith, and I am also on YouTube – Willie Torres Jr. and I am excited to see all that God will do through it.
This is my hope, and I’m so thankful for it. I’m thankful for the love of Jesus, and I’m thankful for the chance to grow in Him together with you.

Not really into sports but my husband is into football especailly college football. He’s a Alabma Roll Tide fan. His family has been for generations.

His family was so into Mama that when I met his mother she gave me a necklace and made me say Roll Tide when she clasp it on. I thought the whole thing as ridiculas but I went along. :)

I agree with the ridiculous part, who would want to say and shout Roll Tide 😂🤣 ? But overall, it’s fun to have family and friends like that. It makes it so much enjoyable to watch the game.
My wife and boys hate sports, so when I’m watching, I have no one to cheer with or high five. So, instead, I use my phone to trash talk who ever I’m against. Ooh, Trash- Talk. Hmm? I sense something here. 😂

Guys love to trash talk about sports. It’s guy and sports thing. I don’t watch the games with my husband either. Occasionally I catch a play of college or Pro football and I love a god play or upset but to set through the rest of the game is too much. I’m the same with all sports, the sportsmanship, the great plays, the upsets and victories are awesome but the in between can’t hold me. I love basketball and played myself in High School but unless I’m at the game, I can’t watch the entire game. Maybe that’s a lack of commitment. :)

My wife says I’m a winning watcher. When my team is winning I’m glued to the TV, but when they are losing or I know, there is no way for them to come back and win, the game goes off 😂🤣😂.

Most are that way I think. My husband is watching BaMa right now and it’s a rare occasion he turns the channel. He grumbles afterward.

I’ve learned the hardway that as a Christian, I have to be careful how I act, even in my own home. So rather than yell, scream and get angry, I just turn the tv remote over to the wife and walk away. 🤣🤣

We don’t really watch sports, but best of luck to your team. I can’t help but think of The Mighty Ducks (as in the movie) whenever I hear “the Ducks”.

Wish I could say the same for my team, the Florida Gators. We got spanked by Miami in the season opener at home 😑 We haven’t had a good coach since Urban Meyer went to OSU over a dozen years ago.

I can totally relate to your fandom Willie! The Ducks have a great foundation set with Danny Lanning; high character guy who will get high character, competent players for the Ducks. It says alot about a man’s coaching ability when Nick Saban is looking to hire him.
I’m an Ohio State fan and the Buckeyes have been one of the few bright spots in my sports portfolio lol. It’s going to be a very good game in mid October when we meet at Eugene. Mike

I’m really looking forward to that game. I just hope Coach Lanning can get the team in better shape than they’ve been in the past couple of games. We often start the season a bit slow and shaky, which has been a pattern with the Ducks for years. After watching these first two games, it’s clear they need to build confidence and work better together, or they risk facing some tough losses.

I love college fb. I remember the stories about Oklahoma U having a 47 game win streak in the time of 1953-56. The loss against them was to ND in a 7-0 loss.

It’s funny—when the Oregon Ducks are playing, I’m glued to the screen for the whole game, no matter if they win or lose. But when it comes to the Minnesota Vikings (my favorite NFL team), I tend to watch on and off. If they’re losing, I often skip out and just catch the highlights instead! 🤣🤣

I have taken a like for the teams in Iowa, which “a small town,” and a farm boy state. Iowa, Iowa State, and Northern Iowa, will always be on my tv screen, whenever they are playing.

Yes they are, and after the win over Alabama (Which shocked the college football world), there confidence raised to a whole new level. We will see how they go on from here. They are going to be the underdogs to watch.

Your analysis of Vanderbilt is very true. I still, am drawn to the three Iowa schools: Iowa, Iowa State, Northern Iowa University. I have been to that state and like their slow pace of life; we will have to see how their football seasons end.
