Revised Edition Part Six …
Today, I am continuing with part 6 of a profound journey, one that delves into a topic we all grapple with: Recognition. It’s a journey that challenges us to let the Holy Spirit transform our hearts, guiding us away from the pitfalls of seeking Recognition solely for ourselves. The pursuit of self-Recognition often leads us astray, fostering pride and diverting us from true humility and service. Let’s explore together how we can navigate this complex terrain with Grace and Wisdom.
If you missed the first and second part, I encourage you to go back to the beginning (Here) , Part One (Here) , Part Two (Here) Part Three , (Here), Part Four and (Here) for Part 5; before continuing with this section. As mentioned earlier, we are delving into a lengthy and profound topic, one that I trust will resonate with you and inspire a transformation in your life. I firmly believe this message is divinely inspired, and my sole desire is that it touches hearts and minds as intended—without seeking any Recognition for myself.
Recognition Part Six
You do not need the approval of others to grow and develop. If you feel that you need Recognition, approval, or acceptance to grow, you are further away from your own growth than you might expect. I know this from experience. I often feel emotionally impacted when I am attacked for my faith and belief in God. However, I take comfort in knowing that by following my faith and beliefs, I am honoring God, uplifting my community, and helping others. This gives me strength and courage to continue my journey. I hope that one day people can understand that there is a greater good that I am striving for and that it is possible to disagree without tearing somebody down. It is only through understanding, compassion, and love that we can truly uplift the world. Until then, I will remain committed to doing what I believe is right, despite the criticism or persecution I may encounter.

It is unfortunate that I have not yet reached the level of faith that I would like to have or believe I ought to have. Despite this, I am not trying to rush the process of spiritual growth; I am not in a race. I am not looking for admiration or attention from others in regard to my quick transformation, nor am I striving to be a role model for others. I am not attempting to cultivate a sense of God within myself; rather, it is the Holy Spirit that resides within me. In this way, I am reminded that I am never alone in my journey of faith.

I have come to understand that I cannot control the changes in my life, but that God is in control. He is the one who will ultimately decide how my life will go, and I am content to let Him lead me where He wills. If He wants me to take on a leadership role, He will provide me with the resources and support I need to do it. If He wants me to gain knowledge and wisdom, He will direct my steps and open the door for me to learn and grow. I no longer feel the need to control my life and its trajectory, for I have come to the realization that God is the one who truly holds the power and I am just a vessel for Him to use.

Psalm 18:2 – English Standard Version – (ESV)
The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
No matter what we may think the purpose of our lives is, God has already planned out how it will turn out. His timing is perfect and He has already determined the outcome, not based on our own plans or ideas, but according to His will and intentions. We may not understand why certain things happen they way they do, but we can trust that God is in control and His plans will be fulfilled in due time. He knows the paths that we should take, and He will guide us on our journeys.

We often find ourselves discouraged and disheartened when our growth stops, or when we don’t get the Recognition, we feel we deserve. We may even feel like failures, or that we are not good enough. But we must remember that God has a purpose for us, and His timing is perfect. He will bring us to where we need to be, and He will do it for His glory. Therefore, when we encounter challenges or feel discouraged, let us remember that God is in control, and He will bring us to where we should be. Let us trust in His timing and not be discouraged, for His plans are always good.

When we fall short of reaching our goals, or don’t get the Recognition we desire, it can be easy to feel discouraged and like we are failing. Satan takes advantage of this weakness, but it is important to remember that God has a purpose for each of us in His own time and for His own Glory. We should not be discouraged by a lack of outward success but focus instead on God’s plan for us. His purpose is greater than our own, and it is only through His will that we can find true success and contentment. It can be easy to be envious of others when we think about their ability to communicate, pray, worship, or memorize scripture. We may look at them and wish we had those same gifts. But what we must remember is that God created each of us in our own unique way and gave us our own Spiritual Gifts to use. Knowing and understanding our Spiritual Gifts can help us to understand our individual strengths and weaknesses and how we can best serve God and others. Therefore, it is important that we take the time to ask God to reveal our Spiritual Gifts and use them to their fullest potential. This can help us to Honor God, better serve others, and ultimately bring Glory to Him.

“He made us different because together we can make a difference.”
1 Corinthians 12:7-12 – New International Version – (NIV)
7- Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. 8- To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, 9- to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, 10- to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. 11- All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines.
Unity and Diversity in the Body
12– Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ.

Wonderful post, Willie! Very profound, insightful, and encouraging in what concerns our life path and spiritual gifts. Besides a very strong faith, you also shared with us one life-changing guideline for our journey: “You do not need the approval of others to grow and develop.” Realizing it deeply takes us into another level. Thank you so much for this. I really enjoyed reading it. Sending you lots of light and blessings, my friend 🙏 💫

Willie, wow! Your words are straight from the heart–so authentic and oozing of the Spirit. I FEEL it, my friend.
We are all on our own paths of holiness. It’s hard work isn’t it? Yet, we are NOT alone, as you so beautifully shared. We’re in it together. We all may have different levels of growth in our faith, but we have the same destination. God’s timing is always perfect. I fall daily, my friend. I look back to see how far God has brought me…and I look over and there you are! And so many of our community members here saying, “Keep going! God has us!” Yes, being attacked for our convictions can be emotionally draining–and lonely! Jesus said we’ll lose family when we pick up the cross and follow him. Dropping everything for the indwelling of the Spirit to lead us—it’s not easy. But oh, what a joy and peace we can find.
Did I mention how happy I am we’re on this journey together? Your words of wisdom, coupled with Biblical truth, and your amazing creative portraits (these may be some of my favorites), lifted my Spirits, Willie! Your using your gifts for HIS glory! Amen!
May we continue lifting one another on our paths. Reconciliation and restoration–glory is a beautiful thing! That is something you RECOGNIZE (I had to put that in there for you! :-). You’ve worked so hard on this series, brother. The words, creations, thoughts, and wisdom–thank you for using your gifts to lift this community! I’m sorry I’m unable to get to some of them (when I click on 3 and 4 –and even 5, it takes me to my Drafts page as if I’m writing?–a WP glitch, I’m sure!). I haven’t read your book yet, Willie. My schedule has been busy, but it’s sitting right beside me and I can’t wait to dive into it! God bless you! You and yours are so loved! 💕🙏🙏🙏

Your heartfelt comment brought me to tears. Here I am, often complaining to God, saying, “Lord, this is too much for me. Why am I doing all this writing and blogging, and what is the purpose behind it all?” I sometimes feel discouraged, especially when I can’t seem to get anyone—family or close friends—to support my books or encourage my work. But then I read a message like yours, and I’m reminded of how God answers through others. It’s not about my own Recognition or seeing my name in lights, but about representing and glorifying the One who is the True Light.
I never imagined I’d be writing a book or doing what I’m doing here on WordPress. My initial plan was just to use this blog as a place to store my writings, hoping one day to turn them into books. But God had a different plan. He is using this platform to share His Word, His Message, and His Gospel with people I’ve never met, building bridges to His Kingdom through our connection.
This journey is a beautiful example of what it means to be a Disciple for Christ. I often wonder, as I shared with Dear Sister Mary, “Why me, Lord? Why choose someone like me who fails You every day and falls short?” But in those moments of doubt, I am overwhelmed with gratitude that He has chosen me for this purpose.
Thank You, God, for making it me, despite my flaws and failures. Thank You for turning my struggles into a testimony of Your Grace and for using me to reach others.
Thank You Dear Sister, Your Kindness, Love and Encouragement is a reminder that every challenge we face is part of His greater plan, and I am thankful for this opportunity to serve and glorify Him and to do it along side people like you.
You Are Loved, You Are a Blessing.

Thank you so much Sister Mary for Reading and for your Heartfelt Comment.
I’m still in awe of why God has blessed me with this gift of writing and sharing His Word with others. It reminds me of Paul’s words in 1 Timothy 1:15-16: “Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life.” I often find myself asking, “Lord, who am I?” Yet despite my unworthiness, He continues to pour out His blessings. It can be overwhelming, but I can’t help but rejoice in His grace.

I have been posting here 8 years and it seems like yesterday when I started writing for the LORD. HE is faithful even when I seem to have no subject! HE always follows through with a word prompt somewhere in either scripture or a devotion. That is how HE works with those who desire to share HIS words with the world. I love to encourage, so anytime you need it, message me! I understand and stand along side you.

Thank you so much for your kind words. I will definitely reach out. Since our Small Group ended and we’ve been missing church for several months, I’ve felt a significant emptiness in my life and heart. I deeply miss being around God’s people, growing together, and sharing His Words and Blessings. Watching services online just doesn’t compare—there are too many distractions, and nothing beats the feeling of talking, seeing, and embracing fellow believers.
My wife has a weak immune system and is easily affected by illness, so we’ve been hesitant to attend church since COVID. We’ve tried a few times, but the fear remains strong. I am waiting and praying for the day when she can fully trust in God’s protection. In the meantime, my only source of Hope, Joy, Peace, and Community is here on WordPress, where I can connect with people who share a Love for Christ and a Passion for His Word.
I’m truly Grateful for your Kindness, encouragement and Support. Your willingness to open your heart means so much to me.
You are Dearly Loved, and I Pray that the Lord continues to Bless you today and always.

I don’t know how I missed Part 6, but now I’ve read it and love your honesty and humility. It is difficult to write about matters that can be so complex, but you have a depth that needs to come out. The Lord is working in you His mighty power. You are blessed.
I can relate to much of what you say. The Lord shows me to keep my eyes off my weakness and on His power. I must forget what lies behind and go forward with Him. He is so much better to me than all the rejection I have received, and I have received a lot.
I am glad to leave this painful subject with you. Great Job, Willie! 🥇

I’m truly grateful for your support and for sharing your own experiences. It’s a Blessing to know that the Lord is working through both of us, and I’m thankful for His Guidance and Strength.
It’s challenging for us to acknowledge our faults and shortcomings. Sharing a testimony is never easy, but I’m learning that it can open the eyes, ears, and hearts of those who wonder or struggle to believe. This is why I share these experiences; it’s the calling the Lord has given me. While I never initially intended to write about God or my life in Christ—though I always wanted to be a writer—He has led me here. Everything I do, I do for His glory. It’s a privilege to share His work in my life and to encourage others through my words.

Kairos = God’s timing. As Christians we are called to place our trust in God’s timing. We are called to listen with ears that seek to listen like God listens, to see others as God sees them, to love people (especially our enemies and those that speak ill about us) the way God loves!!! And the sooner we get in this train, the quicker the Lord will make us aware of HIS will for us. Ever hear of the Permissive Will of God, Willie? I just might blow your mind when I tell you this Willie, but I do not believe God causes bad things to happen in the world. I believe God allows (permits) certain things to happen (like natural disasters, death, even bankruptcy) and it is up to us to decide – how am I going to respond to what’s going on around me. Make sense? Hope so – cause I am off to Recognition 7
