Revised Edition Part Four
Today, I am continuing with part 4 of a profound journey, one that delves into a topic we all grapple with: Recognition. It’s a journey that challenges us to let the Holy Spirit transform our hearts, guiding us away from the pitfalls of seeking Recognition solely for ourselves. The pursuit of self-Recognition often leads us astray, fostering pride and diverting us from true humility and service. Let’s explore together how we can navigate this complex terrain with Grace and Wisdom.
If you missed the first and second part, I encourage you to go back to the beginning (Here) , (Here) and (Here) before continuing with this section. As mentioned earlier, we are delving into a lengthy and profound topic, one that I trust will resonate with you and inspire a transformation in your life. I firmly believe this message is divinely inspired, and my sole desire is that it touches hearts and minds as intended—without seeking any Recognition for myself.
Recognition Part Four
Since I was a child, I felt like an outcast, that I didn’t belong. It was a feeling that followed me everywhere, with friends, family members, in school, in sports, even in church. I’m sure some of you can relate. Whenever I thought I had finally found something I was good at, something that could make me stand out and get noticed, I would jump in and push myself to do my best. I wanted desperately to be seen and accepted, to be part of a group, to belong. When I found something that I was actually good at, I was overjoyed. It felt like a new world opened up for me, one where I could get the attention of my family, friends, and even the church.
I was desperate for Recognition—for people to finally see me. I had never felt truly visible before and I was determined to seize this opportunity to make sure I was seen. I put every effort I had into this, hoping to finally be appreciated and accepted. Even now in church or in ministry, I often catch myself wanting to take the credit whenever something good happens, but I quickly remember that the glory belongs to God, not me. It can be hard to hand God the trophy and not be able to carry it myself. It’s like being in the Olympics and getting a silver or bronze medal and having to stand there with your head down because you didn’t get the gold. Even though it’s sometimes difficult, I’m thankful for the opportunity to Recognize God’s greatness and to humbly bow down before Him.

The past seven years of my life have been full of difficult choices, but I have been learning how to use my experiences and faith to glorify the Lord. As a Christian, we should be filled with joy and gratefulness for being chosen and used by God for His work. We should never feel ashamed of our faith, but rather use it as an opportunity to be a beacon of light for others. To rejoice in the Lord and to be humble in our actions and attitudes is a great blessing. We should be proud of our faith, but mindful of the importance of humility.
God has done amazing things in my life. He has used me to do things I never thought I was capable of doing, and for that I am incredibly grateful. He has given me spiritual gifts that I am meant to use to spread his word and messages. I am now focused on using these gifts to evangelize, lead, and deliver his messages and, if I am being honest, teach, even though I initially never saw myself as a teacher. His faith and grace have been with me every step of the way, and I am determined to use these gifts to their fullest potential. The fear of rejection is a powerful emotion that can lead to feelings of insecurity and inadequacy. It’s the constant question of why won’t someone else see me or understand me? It’s a fear that can cause us to doubt ourselves and not pursue things that can lead to success.

The bigger question that I face is whether I need to be seen or accepted by anyone other than God. It can be difficult to be liked, loved, respected, or Recognized by others simply because I choose to follow God. What is more important to me is understanding my duties and responsibilities as a servant of God. Knowing this, I can focus on doing God’s will and not worry about the opinions of others. Ultimately, I can take solace in the fact that God sees me and accepts me for who I am.

Leading people to Christ is a calling and a privilege, but it’s not something we can force upon them. Forcing someone to go to church, read the Bible, or get saved is not an option. Instead, we can inform them of the life-changing power of Jesus and His ability to bring redemption to those living in sin. We can do this by setting a good example, living our lives in a way that testifies to His transforming grace, and speaking of His love and mercy with conviction. As a sinner myself, I’m a living testimony of God’s redeeming power and the hope that He offers to the worst of us, of which I am one of the worse.

Yes, we are called to love our brothers and sisters, love our enemies, and even love those who persecute us. But we must remember that our ultimate goal is to bring Honor and Glory to God. We can do this by planting seeds of faith, building strong and meaningful relationships with others, mending broken relationships, forgiving those who have wronged us, and speaking truth in love to those around us – not for our own benefit, but for the Glory of God. Our love and our actions should always strive to bring honor and glory to God.
Matthew 5:43-45 – New International Version – (NIV)
43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.

If you can’t , it’s no big deal. Knowing you tried is enough for me.

By the way, I love the Worship Team at your church. Absolutely Beautiful. I think I might have to share a song on my next post.
I haven’t finished watching the sermon. The teaching was so good but I had to go out and do some errands, so I didn’t get a chance to finish. Might start from the beginning again tonight.
Thank you for Sharing…
Have a Blessed Day.

Willie, do you think that your search was for love rather than recognition? Perhaps, the love of the Lord and knowing that God sees you helped? This is a good, thoughtful post filled with joy.
LikeLiked by 3 people
I never really considered it as searching for love. Reflecting on it now, perhaps it was a mixture of both. I was searching for love that I didn’t seem to find from those around me, always feeling like an outsider wherever I went. I also sought recognition, hoping to be seen and acknowledged somehow. As I answer your question, it becomes clear.
Nevertheless, the Lord brought me more than I ever wanted or thought I needed. Even though I still long for the love of others and struggle to accept it, I’ve come to understand the million-dollar question: “Is God enough?” And the resounding answer is YES.
In discovering this truth, I’ve found a profound sense of peace and fulfillment. It’s a journey of learning to rely on God’s love and acceptance above all else, even amidst the challenges of seeking affirmation from others.
Thank you so much, dear sister, for taking the time to read and comment. Your insights have helped me gain a clearer understanding of my own words.
May the Lord Bless You Today and Always .

You said you felt like an outcast. I have always been an outcast. I look for the Day of the Lord when He returns with His recompense. Romans 2:6-10 explains it. It basically says self must die, like you said. The reward for doing good is glory, honor and heart-peace. Honor means respect.
I think that might be at the heart of recognition. We all need to be respected. Satan loves to lie to us and drag us down if we let him, when the Lord lifts us up.
I think it is a battle we all go through. You have put your battle into words in a way not many could do.
Bless you for your honesty and diligence. We all are receiving from you!
I tried to purchase your book in paperback on Amazon and it would not let me.
Thank You, for such a great post with wonderful pictures again!!!

I believe that deep down, we all long to feel valued, acknowledged, and loved. These are natural human desires and needs. However, it’s crucial not to overshadow what God is accomplishing and prioritize lifting His Name on High before seeking our own recognition. I’m certain you can resonate with what I’ve expressed. My journey has had its challenges, but gradually, I’m coming to understand that in this moment, God alone is enough.

I looked for attention from others so when I finally accepted Christ as my Savior the love affair started. Not me loving Him but me realizing nobody could love me like Christ. The older I get and more bible I understand the more I lean on His love for me instead of others. His love never rejects us, it only draws us into a tighter circle with Him. But His love is so different than any world love I could experience here on earth. Good post.

Leading people to Christ truly is a privilege, Willie. Many are called but few are chosen. Believe me when I say to you – you, Willie, are amongst God’s Chosen. But be careful. Pope Francis – when he was elected Pope – did an interview with America Magazine and the interviewer asked “who is Jorge Mario Bergoglio?” (the Pope’s birth name) and his response, “I am a sinner”. WOW 😮 what a telling response !! Being amongst the Chosen doesn’t mean you give up your humanity. It means we need to be held accountable and seek forgiveness from God and those we have hurt along the way. On to the next episode….
