Revised Edition Part Two
Today, I am continuing with part 2 of a profound journey, one that delves into a topic we all grapple with: Recognition. It’s a journey that challenges us to let the Holy Spirit transform our hearts, guiding us away from the pitfalls of seeking Recognition solely for ourselves. The pursuit of self-Recognition often leads us astray, fostering pride and diverting us from true humility and service. Let’s explore together how we can navigate this complex terrain with Grace and Wisdom.
If you missed the first part, I encourage you to go back to the beginning (Here) and then return to this discussion. As mentioned earlier, we are delving into a lengthy and profound topic, one that I trust will resonate with you and inspire a transformation in your life. I firmly believe this message is divinely inspired, and my sole desire is that it touches hearts and minds as intended—without seeking any Recognition for myself.
Recognition Part Two
The person I used to be was not always the best version of myself. I made mistakes, I was selfish and misguided, and I took the wrong path. But I was still the person my family and friends knew and grew up with. Even though I cannot change my past, I can learn from it and strive to not repeat the same errors. No matter what I have done in the past, I cannot change it; not even God can change it, as it is already done. All I can do is demonstrate the incredible work God is doing in my life. He is helping me to move on from the choices I have made, and those choices no longer define me. Instead, I am looking to the future and to the goodness of God in my life. I can trust in Him to bring me to the place I need to be and to guide me on my journey. I am no longer bound by the mistakes of the past, and I am free to walk in the light of His love.

I Recognize that my actions are no longer a reflection of just myself, but of my God as well. If I can do something good for others or myself, I know that it is only through His Grace. I am thankful for His guidance and presence in my life, and I give Him all the Glory and Praise.
The need to be accepted, noticed, or Recognized by the world has faded in comparison to the greater goal of being one with God and reaching salvation. To glorify His Holy Name and to enjoy Him forever is the ultimate goal. To share His gospel with others, to evangelize, and to be with Him in the Kingdom of Heaven is the Recognition and focus that should be pursued. To share the gospel with others, to evangelize and to be with Him in the Kingdom of Heaven; that is where the Recognition and focus must be. It is not about boasting or being crowned as a royal priest or king, it is not for people to know me and follow me or kiss my ring, for I am but a servant, and a low one at that.

Romans 3:7 – New International Version – (NIV)
Someone might argue, “If my falsehood enhances God’s truthfulness and so increases his glory, why am I still condemned as a sinner?”
Am I a sinner, did I sin, is it possible for me to continue to sin? Are there any sins I will commit today, tomorrow, next week, or next month? The answer to these questions and statements is yes, yes, and yes. We all sin and we all fall short of the Glory of God.
I acknowledge my imperfections as a human being. Following Jesus Christ doesn’t exempt me from making mistakes; it’s part of my journey. Attending church physically or virtually, sharing religious content on social media, reading the Bible, and praying regularly do not make me flawless. Even if I spread God’s word on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, my podcast, or YouTube, it doesn’t elevate my imperfections. Perfection is unattainable for us, and I have never claimed to be perfect, nor will I ever.

Growing and following Jesus is an important part of our lives. It is a journey that leads us to become more like Him and to have full trust and faith in Him, understanding that perfection is not attainable. While we strive to do our best and to live in a way that reflects our faith, we also Recognize that God’s plans are perfect. We strive to cooperate and work with God’s plan, understanding that it is the best possible way for our lives to be guided. We may not always understand why God has chosen certain paths for us, but we trust that He knows what is best for us.
Psalm 86:2 – New King James Version – (NKJV)
Preserve my life, for I am holy; You are my God; Save Your servant who trusts in You!
We all carry baggage, imperfections, fears, insecurities, burdens, doubts, pain, sorrows, and sins with us every day. Yet, our Lord desires us to surrender all of these things to Him and no longer carry them around with us. He also calls us to surrender our need to be seen, Recognized, and acknowledged by people. To do this, we must trust in the Lord and allow Him to protect us, even when it feels like we are vulnerable and exposed. He will provide guidance and strength to help us through our struggles and provide the peace of mind that we seek.

We can draw our strength and our hope from Him, for He is The Way, The Truth, and The Life. His plans for us are perfect and when the time comes for His Glory to be revealed, we will be blessed and receive the fullness of His Love. Our focus must be on Him and His plans for us for us to grow in faith. Let us not focus on ourselves and our own wants and desires, but on Him and His ways. Let me say it again: Focusing on Him, not on ourselves, helps us to grow in Faith.
We must strive to put Him first in our lives and put our trust in Him. By putting Him first, we can be assured that His plans for us are perfect and will lead to His ultimate glory being revealed.
Jeremiah 10:23 – New International Version – (NIV)
LORD, I know that people’s lives are not their own; it is not for them to direct their steps.
We all know that judgment awaits us at the end of our lives, but we may not realize that judgment can come even sooner. The moment we surrender ourselves to God, we open ourselves up to His judgment. But with that judgment comes a great blessing – His care and protection. In times of trouble and despair, God will always be there to provide us with comfort and support.

I’m glad it worked out. This is going to be a long and extensive topic; I’m still writing, and it’s nowhere near finished. It’s a subject that resonates with everyone and is something we all struggle with. Often, it’s overlooked and goes unaddressed until someone brings it to our attention or holds us accountable, prompting us to realize what we’ve been doing.
I deeply appreciate your Reading and Commenting, and I hope you continue to find value in what’s to come.
Thank you for your support.

This Recognition story will be a lengthy post. I hope you’ll stay tuned.
Absolutely, it’s foundational to our faith. Living in alignment with God’s will and giving Him glory in all we do is at the heart of Christian living.

I believe my candle blows in the wind and those breezes that make my candle flicker and the flame to wave in the breeze are me forgetting where my true beliefs are aligned. When the air is still and my flame stands straight up I’m maybe more in tune. When I don’t give glory to God enough it shows in my everyday thoughts and actions. I struggle to stay on the right path but do believe these struggles are part of the plan to strengthen my beliefs. Great posts Willie!

Mary is right, God in His infinite goodness always forgives us if He sees us sincerely contrite.
What is sometimes more difficult is being able to forgive ourselves and move on.🙏

You and Mary are right, forgiving ourselves can often be the more challenging part. It requires Grace and self-compassion, which can take time and reflection.
But all things are possible through God.

I love the highlight that following Christ doesn’t exempt one from making mistakes, that means we should not try too hard to prove that we are perfect but we should recognize our failures and follow Christ even with our flaws

I appreciate your perspective on this. It’s true that the impact of sharing goes beyond immediate reactions. Sometimes, our words can quietly inspire or comfort someone who reads them. It’s fulfilling to think that our expressions can reach and resonate with others, even if they don’t engage directly. Thank you for reminding me of the far-reaching influence our words can have.

Dear friend, I’m behind on reading. Recognition. You’re a wise man, Willie. Your words ooze with authenticity, truth, humility, and love. The ego is a terrible thing! There’s a fine balance between having confidence in Christ and complete confidence in ME. Ugh. I don’t particularly appreciate receiving attention. Secretly, there are places in my heart where I’ve said, “God, do you see that?” “If you’ve done it to the least of these, you’ve done it unto me.” We all desire recognition; it’s human. We feel good when others recognize us. To be SEEN. God sees us!!! He sees us in the dark, in light, hiding, or public! I want to give HIM all the glory if others see him in little ol’ me. The verses you shared hit my heart–your words ring true for all of us walking in the WAY of Christ on our journey “home”, my friend.
Let’s talk about your accompanying pics–they touch my heart! How do you do that? Through your gifts, you are giving God glory. May we recognize that everything good is from Him. And may I step out of his way so he receives the glory. I’m so happy that we “imperfect” people can still be used to show the goodness, truth, love, and grace that comes from Christ alone!
You’re an inspiration, Willie! Keep on keepin’ on, brother! You and yours are loved! May God keep blessing you and encouraging you as you share his WAY!❣️🙏

Your heartfelt message moved me to tears again with its kindness, love and sincerity. I was deeply touched by your reflections on the balance between having confidence in Christ and maintaining humility. Your reflections on our human longing for Recognition and the reassuring truth that God sees us in every moment touched me deeply.
Thank you so much for your kind words about my pictures and writings. Although the images are AI-generated, I invest a lot of time and effort into perfecting each one. It often takes hours just to create 3-5 pictures that are just right. Both the pictures and the writings are a result of God’s mercy and grace guiding my efforts. It is a true blessing to know that they touch your heart and help Glorify God. Your encouragement means more to me than you know, and I am incredibly grateful for the reminder that our imperfections can still reflect His Grace and Love.
May God continue to Bless you today and always and may He guide you on your faith journey.
You are always in my thoughts and prayers.

Thank you, dear friend. I know how much time and effort you spend~praying for right words, creating images (although AI assisted ~they’re created by YOU), and using all gifts for HIS glory. It’s so wonderful to know, that even if time goes by, here in this community, we all stand beside one another and “sharpen” ourselves with wisdom and experiences. Your writing and images stay in my soul! I’m so happy you were touched by comments~ your humble and sincere spirit is inspiring and infectious! Have a blessed weekend, Willie. Give your sweet wife hugs and love too!

Willie: you continue to hammer home one critical idea after another, my brother! The need to be noticed, affirmed, pat-on-the-back for simply “doing our job” – be it at the workplace, as a parent and especially as a spouse in the devil’s 😈 workshop. The need for atta-boys makes us a slave or an addict to that kind of recognition! Off to episode 3…
