Spiritual Gift

“When you find your spiritual gift, God will give you an opportunity to use it.
 John Maxwell

As I embarked on my journey of faith, I discovered a profound passion for writing and sharing my personal testimonies. Through moments of reflection, prayer, and divine guidance, I recognized this as my Spiritual Gift—a tool through which I could inspire, encourage, and uplift others on their own spiritual journeys.

What began as a sacred time of prayer, a simple dialogue with God, took an unexpected turn. Initially, I felt drawn to simply spend quiet moments in His presence. Then, in a moment of divine prompting, the Lord whispered, “Put pen to paper.” Thus began a journey of pouring out my heart and soul onto the pages, recounting the experiences, struggles, and triumphs that shaped my relationship with Him. To my amazement, He responded in kind. This initial act of obedience has since blossomed into countless inspiring stories and testimonies, as well as published books. Little did I anticipate that by embracing the gift of prayer and Communication With God, I would be led into storytelling. It became evident that I was stepping into a deeper calling—a calling to serve as a vessel through which God’s Grace and Love could touch the lives of those who needed it most.

With each story I shared, I witnessed its profound impact on others—individuals who found solace and encouragement in my words, discovering that they were not alone in their struggles. It felt as though God was using my writing to speak directly to their hearts, reminding them of His constant presence, His unwavering faithfulness, and His boundless love. This assurance solidified the understanding that these words were not merely mine; they were bestowed upon me by Him, conveyed through the Holy Spirit.

John Maxwell’s words, “When you find your spiritual gift, God will give you an opportunity to use it,” rang true in my life. As I continued to write and share my testimonies, God opened doors I never could have imagined. Opportunities emerged to establish a social media ministry, to author Christian literature, to guide individuals on their spiritual paths, and to engage with seekers from diverse backgrounds longing for a deeper connection with God.

Through it all, I’ve learned that my Spiritual Gift isn’t just about me—it’s about being a channel for God’s Grace and Truth to flow into the lives of others. It’s about using my words to shine a light in the darkness, to offer hope to the hopeless, and to point others toward the transformative power of faith in God.

My journey as a writer and storyteller is not just my story—it’s a testament to the incredible things that can happen when we step out in Faith and trust that God will use our gifts for His Glory. And it’s a reminder to each and every person that with Faith and Trust in the Lord, they too can experience the life-changing power of His Love and Grace.

This quote by John Maxwell emphasizes the belief that when you discover your unique Spiritual Gift, you’ll be presented with opportunities to utilize it. Essentially, it suggests that discovering your natural talents or abilities is just the first step; the next is to actively engage with them in service or contribution to others, often facilitated by circumstances or divine intervention. It speaks to the idea that gifts are not just for personal fulfillment but for the betterment of the world around us.

Certainly! Maxwell’s quote underscores the notion that discovering one’s Spiritual Gift is more than just a personal revelation—it’s an invitation to make a meaningful impact in the world. It implies that each person possesses a unique talent or ability that, when recognized and nurtured, can be used to serve others and fulfill a greater purpose. Moreover, the quote suggests that these opportunities to use our gifts are not random occurrences but are orchestrated by a higher power, whether one believes in God or a broader spiritual force. Therefore, the journey of discovering and utilizing our Spiritual Gifts is not only about self-discovery but also about aligning ourselves with a larger divine plan or purpose.

  • “What do you think your Spiritual Gift is, and have you had any opportunities to use it recently?”
  • “Do you believe in the concept of Spiritual Gifts, and if so, how do you think they manifest in our lives?”

“Heavenly Father,

Thank you for the gifts and talents you have bestowed upon each of us. Help us to recognize and embrace these Spiritual Gifts as blessings from you. Guide us in discovering how to best use these gifts to serve others and bring glory to your name.

Grant us wisdom and discernment to understand the opportunities you present to us for utilizing our gifts. May we always be open to your leading and direction, trusting that you will provide the right circumstances for us to make a positive impact in the lives of those around us.

Fill us with courage and strength to step out in faith and use our gifts for the greater good, even when it may seem challenging or uncertain. Help us to remember that you have equipped us with everything we need to fulfill the purposes you have for us.

May our actions be a reflection of your love and grace, shining brightly in a world that desperately needs your light. May all that we do bring honor to you, our Heavenly Father.

In Jesus’ Name we pray, Amen.”

To be honest, I wasn’t even aware of it until my Small Group pointed it out. We were discussing Spiritual Gifts, and being new to my faith, I felt disheartened thinking I didn’t possess any. I grapple with communication and public speaking, ruling out roles like evangelizing, preaching, or teaching. I haven’t experienced speaking in tongues or prophecy, and I don’t feel spiritually advanced enough for miracles or healing prayers—my shyness and insecurities often hold me back. Little did I realize, my Small Group (or rather, the Holy Spirit working through them) revealed to me that I do possess many of these gifts; I just hadn’t recognized them. Despite still struggling with public speaking, I’ve found my voice through writing. This realization led me to launch a social media ministry (@Being Crazy For Christ on Facebook), write books, and now, I’m here on WordPress. So, when wondering about your own Spiritual Gifts, ask God to unveil them, seek input from those close to you, and you might be surprised to discover you’re already equipped to be a vessel for the Lord.

I’m Willie

Hello and Welcome to my Website.
My name is William Torres, but my family and friends call me Willie. It is a pleasure to be here with you today, and I am excited to share my faith journey with you.

My journey has been amazing and fulfilling as a new Christian. I have seen God work in my life in ways I never could have imagined. I have grown closer to my faith and have seen Him work in my life and the lives of those around me. I am truly blessed to call myself a Christian, and I am excited to continue to grow in my faith.

I believe that I have come a long way in life. Over the years, I have worked hard to become a better man, husband to Frances Torres, and father to our children. I have strived to be a good friend and companion to those I have been fortunate to build relationships with. I have learned to appreciate the small moments of joy and fulfillment that come with every human connection.

I began writing stories that I believe were inspired by the Holy Spirit. These stories are my testimonies about the different trials I have gone through, and how the Lord has helped me to overcome them. Through this process, I’ve discovered that I can forgive those I once vowed to never forgive, and in turn, my relationships with them have been restored. They are now a huge blessing and a special part of my life.

I hope that through my writing I can be a source of encouragement to other people in their faith and relationship with the Lord. I pray that those who read my words will be blessed by the Lord and find strength and comfort in His Word.

To be honest, I have had to come to terms with the fact that I am not perfect, but it is in this place of acceptance that I am able to truly worship a God who is. His infinite love brings me joy, strength, and peace, and I am thankful for the privilege of being able to serve Him.

I have also started a Social Media Ministry on Facebook, which I invite you to visit here. Being Crazy For Christ is a platform where I share my journey of faith, and I am also on YouTube – Willie Torres Jr. and I am excited to see all that God will do through it.

This is my hope, and I’m so thankful for it. I’m thankful for the love of Jesus, and I’m thankful for the chance to grow in Him together with you.

You Are Loved
