“Christians have forgotten that the ministry of listening has been committed to them by Him who is Himself the great listener and whose work they should share. We should listen with the ears of God that we may speak the Word of God.”
– Dietrich Bonhoeffer
Setting aside time to talk with the Lord can be a powerful way to draw closer to Him and come to understand Him more deeply. It can be difficult to make time for the Lord in our busy lives, but it is important to be intentional about carving out moments to talk to Him, even if it is just for a few minutes at a time. Just 5 minutes, 10 minutes, or even 15 minutes can be enough to make a lasting impact. Taking this time to focus on the Lord in prayer and reflection can be the key to unlocking a greater understanding of who God is and how we can better serve Him. Communication with the Lord should be meaningful and true, so don’t be afraid to set aside time to have a conversation with Him.
Social media has become an integral part of our daily lives in the modern world. For many of us, it can be difficult to put down the phone and take a break from the never-ending stream of content. We often find it difficult to make time to pray, thank God, and Communicate With Him. We often make excuses such as “I can’t find the time, I’m too tired, I’ll do it tonight, maybe tomorrow, I’m just too stressed.” Why is it that we can find the time to spend aimlessly scrolling through social media, yet when it comes to connecting with God, we can’t seem to make the time?
The most important details in this text are that it is important to take time to pray, thank God, and Communicate With Him. We must remember to make time for prayer and thankfulness and recognize that God is the source of our strength. We must strive to have a better relationship with the Lord and believe that having a conversation with Him is the key to a meaningful relationship. We must make it our goal to talk to the Lord every day and listen to what He has to say. We should strive to have a better relationship with God and take the time to Communicate With Him each day.
Let us not make excuses, but instead make the time to connect with God and thank Him for all He has done for us.
John 16:13 - Christian Standard Bible – (CSB)
When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth. For he will not speak on his own, but he will speak whatever he hears. He will also declare to you what is to come.
We can get distracted by the material things that we think we need, such as coffee, soda, cigarettes, cell phone, laptop, or iPad. We should be mindful of the things that we fill our lives with and prioritize our relationship with Him. We should take time to thank Him and recognize His presence in our lives, as without Him, we would not be able to do anything. He is our provider, protector and constant companion and He deserves our gratitude.
It is important to recognize that everything we have and do is a gift from God. We should express our appreciation to Him every day when we wake up, as it is a reminder of His providence and a chance to give thanks. We should never take for granted the gifts He has bestowed upon us and always remember to be thankful for all the blessings we receive. We should take five seconds before getting out of our car to close our eyes and give thanks to the Lord for getting us there safely. This is a small but meaningful way to show appreciation for the blessings we have been given.
We can easily get caught up in our daily lives and not take the time to sit, think, and pray. However, taking just a few moments to connect with God can be done quickly and effortlessly. It is important to take the time to connect with God, even in the midst of our busy lives. Setting aside just 10 seconds to pray and talk to God can be a great way to stay connected.
Let us all remember to grab hold of our relationship with God and allow Him to bring us the ultimate joy and peace that comes from a life filled with Him.
God and our Communication With Him are often forgotten in our busy daily lives, yet He is always there, constantly watching over us and protecting us. We take for granted the small things, like our daily commute, punctual arrival at work, school, or even a party. We should remember that putting God and our Communication With Him first should be our number one priority. We should take time to thank Him and recognize His presence in our lives, as without Him, we would not be able to do anything. He is our provider, protector and constant companion and He deserves our gratitude.
James 1:5 – English Standard Version – (ESV)
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.
Any special occasion is a perfect opportunity to show someone how much we care for them, and any favor done for us should be expressed with gratitude as it shows respect and appreciation. When we receive an invitation to a party or gathering, we feel humbled and delighted that someone thought of us enough to invite us. Gifts are one of the most thoughtful gestures anyone can make. The moral of being thankful is one of the most important lessons we were taught as children, and it is essential to show gratitude to those who help us.
It is a sad reality that many of us take for granted the abundant gifts that God has bestowed upon us. We fail to recognize His blessings and instead take them for granted, as if they are required, mandatory or something we are entitled to. We become so distracted by our daily lives that we forget to thank God for His goodness and kindness. We are so preoccupied in our own affairs that we forget to recognize His daily grace. We even expect God to do more for us, while failing to realize the tremendous amount of blessings He has already provided.
It is time for us to open our eyes and recognize the infinite amount of blessings God has given us.
We should take the time to thank Him for all He has done for us and to acknowledge the fact that we are truly blessed. We should take a moment to remember that He is the source of all our blessings, and to thank Him for His generosity and unconditional love.
Zephaniah 3:17 – New International Version – (NIV)
The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.
In spite of this, we should take a moment to appreciate our blessings and to thank God for providing us with opportunities to improve our lives. We should be thankful for the chance to move forward in our careers and to make a better life for ourselves.
- When tragedy strikes, we turn to God for comfort and guidance. We find comfort in knowing that He hears our prayers and is there for us in our time of need. We depend on the love and support of our community to help lift us up in prayer, so that we can find the strength to face our current situation.
- When our children are about to start a new school, we ask God to be with them and give them a safety net of protection and peace.
- When our family is going through difficulties, we ask God to be with us and send us the strength and courage to get through it.
- When our loved ones are in danger, we ask God to protect them and keep them safe.
- When we are feeling overwhelmed with life’s circumstances, we seek out God’s wisdom and guidance.
- When our relationships are strained, we ask God to help us to mend the brokenness and to receive His grace and mercy.
- When we are in need of comfort and assurance, we look to God to fill us with His peace.
- When faced with a better job opportunity with more money and benefits, we should take a moment to appreciate our blessings and thank God for providing us with opportunities to improve our lives.

Willie, this is lawngren. You may remember me from Kristi Ann’s blog. I’m trying to get a wellness check on Kristi. My last comment of March 26 is still “awaiting moderation” and on this Resurrection Sunday, Kristi of all people has not posted anything. The only emergency services I was able to reach from my state (North Carolina) was Oregon State Police, and with the info I had, they couldn’t find Kristi. If you’re in Oregon, you might be able to get local 911 on the line and get something done. Please reply to me a lawngren@protonmail.com and let’s see what we can do. If Kristi is alone and injured, it’s almost certainly too late now, but we have to try for our sister in Christ.

Oh no. I was wondering why I haven’t seen any post in the past couple of week.Unfortunately I am not in Oregon, I am far away East from there. I will try to send a message and hopefully she or someone can or will get back to me. If I hear of something, I will let you know.

Thank you. Tomorrow I’ll try the various closed offices who might be able to help. I’ll let you know if I find out anything.

UOPDATE ON KRISTI:
After multiple auto-attendants giving only the option to “hang up and dial 911” or “hold for next available but we have longer than normal wait times and you may be [deliberately] disconnected, a Multnomah County services woman employee finally patched me through to the Troutdale 911 line. But the dispatcher said that couldn’t find Kristi with only the info I have. At the dispatcher’s suggestion, I called hopitals. The 2nd one may have found her. We’ll have to wait and see. I told them to give Troutdale Police my number and have them call with questions or information. All we can do now is pray and wait.
I even tried a Troutdale vet, because Kristi has (or had) a cat named Patches, but the vet couldn’t help.

Oh wow. It appears you had a busy morning but it was somewhat productive. I’m actually hoping the Kristi you found is not our Dear friend Kristi but then again, at least we will have some answers.
Thank you for the update.
